From elusive Sugar Gliders to echidnas, wombats and kangaroos, the Yea Wetlands provide important habitat for a diverse range of native mammals. The mix of waterways, wetlands, native grasses and bushland offers food, shelter and breeding areas for both daytime and nocturnal species, making the wetlands a valuable refuge for wildlife in the region.
