The Russell Wealands Education Centre is a dynamic learning space with interactive displays to help visitors learn about the value of water, local wetland ecology and biodiversity in our community and region. Its static and interactive displays tell the story of the Yea Wetlands and the life forms it supports.
The interpretive elements within the Centre are designed to spark interest and challenge visitors’ understanding about water resources. Also on display is an intriguing 3D audio visual display, Pepper’s Ghost, which explains the story of the Yea Wetlands from when indigenous communities lived in the area, through European settlement until the present day.
