The Centre offers a range of educational programs for primary and secondary schools. These programs provide students opportunities to connect with nature and build on their understanding of the importance of water and local wetland ecology. The programs have been devised by accredited teachers and are aligned with Victorian and National curriculum. A direct correlation and inter-face with the Yea Wetlands provides an extension of indoor learning spaces to the outdoors.
We offer a wide range of topics that fulfil criteria for the Victorian Curriculum in several subject areas:
- Science
- Humanities/Geography
- Primary General Studies
- Environmental Science
- Outdoor Education
All excursions to the Centre come with both pre and post learning activities to ensure that students gain as much as possible from the visit. Our qualified volunteer staff are eager to share their knowledge of our wonderful local environment and the importance of water with your students.
