Frogs

Frogs are an important part of the Yea Wetlands ecosystem and are often heard before they are seen. The wetlands’ ponds, creeks and seasonally wet areas provide ideal breeding habitat for a variety of native frog species, whose calls fill the air after rain and during warmer months. As sensitive indicators of environmental health, frogs play a vital role in maintaining a balanced and thriving wetland environment.
