The 2023 Yea Wetlands Discovery Centre Inc Annual General Meeting was held on Friday 17 December. Committee members, volunteers and supporters celebrated another successful year of achievements in what was a challenging 12 months due to the closure of the Yea Wetlands, for almost 9 months, because of severe flooding in October 2022 that caused significant damage to the infrastructure.
Chairperson Don Knight thanked the committee members, volunteers, staff and key partners and said, “The YWDC and our partners, the Wetlands Committee of Management, have endured a number of challenges over the last three years but due to the determination and resilience of all involved, the future looks very bright to deliver on our vision of “Developing Pride in the Yea Wetlands Discovery Centre as a unique, valuable community asset with a distinct and memorable experience”.
